The steel plant is located in an industrial park in Xuzhou, surrounded by residential areas. The main noise sources include:
- Crushing equipment: noise level exceeding 105 decibels
- Blower equipment: noise level of about 98 decibels
- Transportation vehicles: frequent truck entry and exit
According to the survey, the boundary noise of the plant exceeded the national standard by 8-15 decibels, causing significant complaints from surrounding residents. The factory had to deal with frequent neighborhood disputes and environmental inspections.

After on-site investigation and acoustic simulation, we designed a customized noise barrier solution for the steel plant:
1. Crushing Area Noise Barrier
- Height: 4 meters
- Material: 0.8mm galvanized steel panel + glass wool filling
- Sound insulation: 25-30 decibels
- Installed along the north boundary, total length: 320 meters
2. Blower Area Noise Barrier
- Height: 3.5 meters
- Material: Aluminum alloy perforated panel + sound-absorbing cotton
- Sound insulation: 20-25 decibles
- Semi-enclosed design, considering equipment ventilation needs
3. Transportation Road Noise Barrier
- Height: 2.5 meters
- Material: Galvanized steel plate + H-beam column
- Sound insulation: 15-20 decibels
- Installed along both sides of the factory road, total length: 180 meters
实施效果：噪声显著降低
After the project was completed and put into use, the monitoring results showed:
- Factory boundary noise decreased from 68 decibels to 42 decibels, meeting the Class 2 standard
- Indoor noise of surrounding residential areas decreased by 12-18 decibels
- Zero complaints from residents after the project was completed
- Passed the environmental acceptance inspection on the first attempt
